Determination of the effect of carbon nanotubes on the microstructure and functional properties of polycarbonate-based polymer nanocomposite materials

Polymer nanocomposites are widely used in various high-tech industries. Due to the combination of elasticity matrix and strength inorganic filler, they have improved functional characteristics compared unfilled polymers. The article is devoted determining effect carbon nanotubes (CNT) on microstructure properties polymeric nanocomposite materials for 3D printing based polycarbonate. As a result this work, series composite was manufactured using piston extruder. Their were investigated methods optical microscopy, thermophysical, electrical mechanical analysis. It found that CNTs form clusters polymer matrix, which percolation network at content 0.5–0.8 %. This feature structure formation provided an abrupt increase obtained. shown with filler system 3 %, thermal conductivity rapidly increases 1.22 W/(m∙K). A similar observed conductivity, by seven orders magnitude from 10-12 10-5 S/cm % CNT system, exhibiting behavior. With introduction CNTs, crystallinity degree decreases almost 15 due fact developed surface creates steric hindrances polycarbonate macromolecules. negates reinforcing nanotubes; therefore, tensile only 21 matrix.
